Add Moto Surround to Connect app

Use the Connect app to check your Moto Surround battery, see the last known location where you connected, and change device settings. The Connect app supports most devices with Android 4.3 or later.

  1. Download free Connect app from Google Play™.
  2. Turn on Moto Surround.
  3. Open Connect, touch , then select Moto Surround from list of devices.
  4. Follow onscreen instructions.

Pair Moto Surround with Bluetooth

Work in one room with your device in another. Or leave your phone inside as you take music outside without missing a beat. With up to 150 feet (45 meters) of Bluetooth® range, you have plenty of freedom.

  1. On your device (phone, computer, or other device), turn on Bluetooth.
  2. Turn on your Moto Surround. Light blinks blue.
  3. On your device, go to the Bluetooth menu to pair and connect. Enter 0000 if prompted.

    When the device and Moto Surround connect, you’ll hear a tone and the light turns solid blue.

Pair with second device

Do you use a phone and a laptop? Connect with both of them at the same time. Moto Surround lets you go from listening to music on your laptop to answering a call on your phone with the simple touch of a button.

  1. Pair with your first device.
  2. Turn off Bluetooth on your first device (your phone, tablet, or computer).
  3. Turn off Moto Surround, and then back on.
  4. Pair with your second device.
  5. On your first device, turn Bluetooth back on to connect to it simultaneously. You’ll hear a tone when the first device connects.
TipTo switch and play audio from the second connected device, pause the current music device, then press play on the second device.
