Why can't Chrome download the extension?

Confirm that you have the latest version of Chrome on your computer.

  1. In Chrome on your computer, click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select About Google Chrome.

Why does the extension show no messages after signing in?

  • Confirm that you signed into the extension with the same account that your phone is using with Chrome extension. To check what account your phone is using, go to the Connect app, touch the Chrome extension card, then look under Account.
  • Confirm that Chrome extension is on. Open the Connect app, touch the Chrome extension card. If the status is Disabled, then touch Turn on Chrome extension.

Can the extension update messages faster?

Chrome extension’s speed depends on the strength of your phone and computer’s connection to the network.

When using a mobile data connection, the following cases can also delay notifications:

  • Your carrier uses mobile data connection timeouts.
  • Your network doesn’t support a mobile data connection during incoming or live calls.

Try the following:

  • Move your phone to an area with a stronger cellular network connection or Wi-Fi connection.
  • If your computer is using a Wi-Fi connection, switch to a wired connection or move to an area where the Wi-Fi signal is stronger.
  • In the Chrome extension window, click > Refresh all content to manually sync your messages any time.

Why did Chrome extension stop working?

Try the following:

  • Confirm that your phone is on and is connected to the internet with a mobile data or Wi‑Fi connection.
  • Confirm that your phone and computer’s network connection signal is strong.
  • Confirm that you signed into the extension with the same account that your phone is using with Chrome extension. To check what account your phone is using, go to the Connect app, touch the Chrome extension card, then look under Account In Use.
  • Confirm that Chrome extension is on. Open the Connect app, then touch the Chrome extension card. If the status is Disabled, then touch Turn on Chrome extension.
  • Restart Chrome extension. Open the Connect app, touch the Chrome extension card. Touch > Disable, and then touch Enable.
  • Go to Settings > Motorola ID > > Unlink account, then go to the Chrome extension app and sign in again.

If you are still having problems, remove the extension and then install it again.

To remove the extension:

  1. On your computer, click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Tools.
  3. Select Extensions.
  4. Click icon.

Why don't I get incoming call notifications?

Chrome extension does not show incoming call notifications on certain mobile networks and mobile technologies that don't support data and calls being active at the same time.
