While Clipboard is enabled, you can copy text, create a screenshot, or capture a photo, then immediately paste it into a document or email on a paired PC and Android devices.
- Pair PC with Android device.
- On your PC, open Smart Connect, go to Files
tab, then click Clipboard. Make sure Clipboard is enabled. - On your Android device, open Smart Connect and go to Settings > Files > Share hub, then enable Clipboard. Also go to Trusted device and choose devices to sync Clipboard content with.
- On either paired device, copy text or a file, create a screenshot, or capture a photo.
- Smart Connect shows the content on both devices at Files > Clipboard, and you can paste it to a folder or document.
- To paste something that was previously copied to the clipboard, tap or click on it in the Clipboard history, then paste it. Smart Connect keeps your last five clips for one hour.
To pause clipboard sharing, tap
then enable Clipboard paused and set the duration of the pause.
To stop sharing the clipboard with all devices, go to Settings > Files, then disable Clipboard.
If multiple devices are paired, on your Android device go to Settings > Files > Share hub > Trusted device and unselect the device you no longer want to share with.
