Text from your PC

Texting from a PC allows faster, more comfortable typing on a full keyboard and seamless multitasking without switching devices, saving time and effort. It also offers a larger screen for easier reading, better organization, and direct file sharing.

Smart Connect supports SMS, photos, and group messages (Android only).

1. Pair PC with phone.
2. Enable Bluetooth on paired devices.
3. On your PC, open Smart Connect, go to Home tab, and click Messages.

4. If prompted, follow the onscreen instructions on your PC and phone to configure the Bluetooth connection.

   To fix connection issues, toggle Bluetooth off and on or unpair and re-pair the device.

5. With multiple connected devices, go to the top-right corner and select the device you'd like to message.

6. Click your profile icon > Settings > Features to set preferences for MMS attachments, links from unknown senders, and notification badges in the PC task bar.

   To enable or disable message notifications in your Windows Action Center while using Smart Connect, go to Settings > General and set the Message notifications preference.
