Copy text between device and computer clipboard

To copy text from computer to phone:

  1. On Toolbox tab, click Clipboard.
  2. In Clipboard content box, paste or type the text you want to copy to your device’s clipboard.
  3. Click Copy to device clipboard.
  4. On your phone, paste the text from your clipboard where you want to use it.

To copy text from phone to computer:

  1. On your phone, copy the text to your phone’s clipboard.
  2. On Toolbox tab, click Clipboard.
  3. Click Paste from computer clipboard to paste the text from your phone’s clipboard to your computer’s clipboard.

    The No target found in for: feature-ref/@name-ref=clipboard_content box also displays the pasted content.

  4. On your computer, paste the text from your clipboard where you want to use it.

Create animated GIFs

Store multiple images in one file to create a slideshow or animation sequence.

  1. On Toolbox tab, click GIF Maker.
  2. Click ADD, then select the images on your computer (JPG, JPEG, PNG, or BMP format) to include in the GIF.
  3. Do any of the following:

    • To resize, crop, or edit an image, hover the image to edit, then click . Edits will not change the original image.
    • To remove an image from LMSA, hover the image to remove, then click .
  4. Set Output size to the height and width in pixels.

    The preview window is square regardless of the size of the actual GIF.

  5. Set Frame rate to how many frames per second are shown. For example, use 1 FPS to show each photo for 1 second, or 2 FPS to show each photo for 0.5 seconds.
  6. Click to preview the GIF.
  7. Click to specify the location to save the GIF.
  8. Click Create GIF to create and save the GIF.

Make call and notification ringtones

  1. On Toolboxtab, click Ringtone Maker.
  2. Click Change, then select a song to load.
  3. Drag the sliders to the start and end of the audio clip you want to use as a ringtone.

    Call ringtones should be less than 40 seconds. Notification ringtones should be less than 20 seconds.

  4. Select the type of ringtone to create, call or notification.
  5. Check the Sound settings boxes if you want the ringtone to fade in and out.

    To hear the fade effect, save the ringtone and then play it.

  6. Do one of the following:

    • To save ringtone on your computer, click Save > Save to PC.
    • To save ringtone on your phone, connect your device to LMSA, then click Save > Save to phone. The ringtone is saved, using the name of the song, at the location where audio files are saved on your phone.

Record device screen

Create a video recording of your screen to explain how to do a task, report an issue, or other reasons.

To record your device screen:

  1. On Toolbox tab, click Record screen.
  2. Connect your phone to LMSA.
  3. In LMSA click to launch the Resolve prompts... no prompt target found for: feature @name=app_name_mobile_assistant @key=app_name_mobile_assistant @package=ma @pkg-version=maMobile Assistant app on your phone in record mode.
  4. In the Resolve prompts... no prompt target found for: feature @name=app_name_mobile_assistant @key=app_name_mobile_assistant @package=ma @pkg-version=maMobile Assistant app, do any of the following:

    • To change recording settings, touch .
    • To start recording, touch
  5. To stop or pause recording, do one of the following:

    • In LMSA, click to switch to the Resolve prompts... no prompt target found for: feature @name=app_name_mobile_assistant @key=app_name_mobile_assistant @package=ma @pkg-version=maMobile Assistant app, then touch to pause or to end recording.
    • On your phone, swipe down the LMSA notification and touch to pause or to end recording.
  6. In the Record screen window, select the videos you want to save, click Export, then specify a location to save them.
