Can't set up Moto Voice

You may be in an environment that's too noisy. Move to a quieter location. Air conditioning noise, in particular, can make training difficult.

Moto Voice isn’t responding to “Hello Moto”

After each troubleshooting step, check to see if your issue is fixed:

  1. Make sure the phone can hear you. Do the following, then check if it recognizes “Hello Moto”:

    1. Move to a quieter environment, without background noise.
    2. If you’re using a case, remove it and make sure the microphone (small hole, typically near the bottom of the phone) is uncovered.
  2. Retrain Moto Voice to recognize your voice.
  3. Check for updates to the Moto app.

Play Store > > My apps & games

Moto Voice isn’t working in my car

In many cars, you can place your phone anywhere and Moto Voice works just fine. If your car is particularly noisy, make sure there are no obstacles between your mouth and the phone’s microphone. For example, if you put your phone in a cup holder, keep the bottom of the phone facing up.

If Moto Voice isn’t announcing calls and texts:

  1. In the Moto app, touch Moto Voice > .
  2. Touch Talk to me > MORE OPTIONS.
  3. Turn on Audio Troubleshooting and Improve driving detection.
