Fix an issue

Wi-Fi connection with PC weak or unstable

The icon in the mobile desktop taskbar shows the Wi-Fi connection status. If the connection becomes unstable, try using a different Wi-Fi network or use a USB connection.

Cannot connect phone to PC wirelessly

  • Check that the PC and phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • If using a virtual private network (VPN), turn off VPN. Or, turn on the VPN after the phone connects with the PC.
  • If using a Wi-Fi connection, try connecting with a USB cable.

Cannot connect phone to PC with cable

  • Try a different USB cable.
  • Check that your device is connected to your PC, preferably using the USB cable that came with your smartphone.
  • If the pop-up does not appear, disconnect the USB cable from your phone, then reconnect it.
  • Confirm that you are using the latest version of Smart Connect.
