Watch videos on external display

Smart Connect brings your favorite video apps into one place for easy access while you’re connected to a display.

  1. Connect phone with external display.
  2. Select the TV experience.
  3. Choose a video app to use, or install one on your phone from Play Store.
TipWhile watching videos, move your pointer to the left edge of the screen to access audio controls, notification settings, and more. Click to change the location of the sidebar, or for other ways to access the sidebar.

Fix an issue

Cannot play media on external display or PC:

  • Content with High-bandwidth Digital Content Projection (HDCP) can be played only on HDCP-compliant devices. If content doesn’t play on your external display, try viewing the content on your phone.
