Battery and charging safety

The battery in your device is designed to last the life of the product. To prevent possible burning and injury, the battery in your device should only be removed by a Motorola-approved service center or recycler when the product is end of life.

Use a compatible charger (may be sold separately) or a USB port to charge your device.

  • For moto buds+ (XT2441-1), use a charger delivering between 5 and 6.5 Watts for fastest charging.
  • For moto buds (XT2443-1) and moto buds bass (XT2443-1), use a charger delivering between 2.5 and 4 Watts for fastest charging.
  • For moto buds loop (XT2545-1), use a charger delivering between 4 and 5.5 Watts for fastest charging.

Other guidelines:

  • Don’t dispose of your battery or device in a fire.
  • Don’t use a damaged charger or charger cable to charge your device. In the event of a damaged charger, turn off the power to the outlet to avoid any electrical hazard. Then remove the damaged charger and dispose of it responsibly.
  • Don’t use tools, sharp objects, or excessive force to clean the USB port, as this may damage your device.
  • Always plug your charger into an electrical outlet that is easily accessible, and unplug your charger from the electrical outlet when not in use.
  • Do not leave your device connected to the charger for more than a few days to avoid potential reduced battery performance over time.
  • Do not use the device if the case is damaged.
  • When using a wireless charger where applicable, do not place foreign materials, such as metal objects, magnets, and magnetic stripe cards, between your device and the wireless charger.
  • Don’t try to charge your device when it’s wet.
NoteChargers that do not comply with applicable national standards may be unsafe, with risk of death or injury, and may cause product damage.
