Battery and charging safety

The battery in your device is designed to last the life of the product. To prevent possible burning and injury, the battery in your device should only be removed by a Motorola-approved service center or recycler when the product is end of life. Charge your device with the magnetic charging cable/pad included in the box. Align the charging pins with the charging contacts on the device back, and then connect the charging cable/pad to a USB-C power supply.

  • Do not dispose of your battery or device in a fire.
  • Do not use a damaged charger or charger cable to charge your device. In the event of a damaged charger, turn off the power to the outlet to avoid any electrical hazard. Then remove the damaged charger and dispose of it responsibly.
  • Do not use tools, sharp objects, or excessive force to clean the USB port, as this may damage your device.
  • Always plug your charger into an electrical outlet that is easily accessible, and unplug your charger from the electrical outlet when not in use.
  • Make sure the charging components, such as the charging pins and contacts, are clean and dry.
  • Do not leave your device connected to the charger for more than a few days to avoid potential reduced battery performance over time.
  • Do not use the device if the charging component is damaged.
  • Do not place any object between the device and the magnetic charging pad. Keep objects away from the magnetic charging pad to avoid damaging magnetic media or impairing the performance.
  • Do not try to charge your device when it’s wet.
