Battery and charging safety

Chargers that do not comply with applicable national standards may be unsafe, with risk of death or injury, and may cause slow charging or product damage.

The power delivered by the charger (sold separately) must be between min 5 Watts required by the radio equipment, and max 15 Watts in order to achieve the maximum charging speed. For the best charging performance when the device is being used, a charger of 15W or higher should be used with a compatible cable.

The battery in your product is designed to last the life of the product. To prevent possible burning and injury, the battery in your product should only be removed by a Motorola-approved service center or recycler when the product is end of life. Do not dispose of your device or battery in a fire.

  • Do not use a damaged charger or charger cable to charge your device. In the event of a damaged charger, turn off the power to the outlet to avoid any electrical hazard. Then remove the damaged charger and dispose of it responsibly.
  • Do not use tools, sharp objects, or excessive force to clean the USB port, as this may damage your device.
  • Always plug your charger into an electrical outlet that is easily accessible, and unplug your charger from the electrical outlet when not in use.
  • Do not leave your device connected to the charger for more than a few days to avoid potential reduced battery performance over time.
  • Make sure the charging components, such as the charging port, are clean and dry.
  • When using a charging dock where applicable, do not place foreign materials, such as metal objects, magnets, and magnetic stripe cards, between your device and the charging dock.
  • Do not charge your device when it’s wet.
