Edit photos and videos

Edit standard photos

  1. Open the photo in the Camera app or Photos app .
  2. Tap the photo, then tap edit icon.
  3. Use Google's tools to crop, adjust brightness and colors, apply filters, and more. To learn more, read Google's help.

  4. When editing:

    • To compare changes in progress to the original photo, touch & hold the photo.
    • To discard changes, tap .
    • To save changes, tap Save as copy.
TipYou can create albums, collages, animations, and movies from your photos and videos. For more information, open the Photos app , tap menu icon, then Help and search for “assistant”.

Enhance blur on Portrait photos

  1. Open the photo in the Camera app or Photos app .
  2. Tap the photo, then tap edit icon.

  3. Tap Tools > Actions > Portrait blur and then:

    • To adjust the amount of background blur, tap Blur and move the slider.
    • To adjust the amount of foreground blur, tap Depth and move the slider.
  4. Tap Done > Save as copy. (If you don't see it, tap up arrow.)

Edit videos

  1. Open the Photos app .
  2. Tap the thumbnail to open the video, then tap edit icon.
  3. Use Google's tools to trim, stablilize, crop, mute, and more. To learn more, read Google's help.
  4. Tap Save.
