Let your camera improve your photography by generating an alternative photo with well-balanced composition alongside your original.

Smart Composition automatically levels your shot and applies the rule of thirds concept to offset your subject, drawing the viewer’s eye into the photo.

1. Tap > AI SETTINGS.
2. Turn Smart Composition on or off .

1. Tap > CAPTURE SETTINGS.

2. Adjust settings as needed:

   • To see a grid for better framing your shots, turn Assistive grid on .

   • To see a leveler, so you know when your shot is parallel to the horizon, turn Leveler on .

     When using the camera, you'll see three white lines in the middle of the screen. To make the lines meet, rotate your phone left and right. When you're level, the lines meet and turn blue.

   • To get rid of the grid or leveler, turn them off .

Use an on-screen leveler to align your shots:

1. Tap > CAPTURE SETTINGS.
2. Turn Leveler on .

Your camera uses AI to suggest changing modes when it determines that a shot could be improved. It can also optimize the exposure, contrast, saturation, and color when it detects the following scenes:

• Fireworks
• Food
• Motion
• Holiday lights
• Sunrise/Sunset
• Moon

To turn these suggestions on or off:

1. Tap > AI SETTINGS.
2. Turn Shot Optimization on or off .

When Shot Optimization is on and you're framing a photo:

• If your camera detects a scene, you'll see a bar with the name of the scene (like Food). To use the enhancements, just take the photo. If you don't want the enhancements, turn the scene off first.
• If your camera suggests changing modes, tap the suggestion to change modes before taking the photo. Or, to use the current mode, press a Volume button or tap on the screen.

With the front camera, when you look at the screen to take a selfie, you'll see a mirror image: left and right are reversed, and text looks backwards.

You can change if the selfies you take match the screen or are flipped:

1. Tap > PHOTOS.

2. For Selfie photo mirror:

   • If you want selfies to match what the screen, turn it on .
   • If you want text in photos to read normally and the image to be flipped, turn it off .
