Store photos and videos on SD card

To set your camera to save new photos and videos on your SD card:

  1. Be sure you inserted an SD card.
  2. Tap > SAVE SETTINGS.
  3. Touch Storage > SD card.

Turn cloud storage on/off

Save your photos to your Google Photos library. That way, they're backed up if something happens to your phone, and you can access them from any device when you log into your Google account.

To adjust whether your phone's photos are backed up:

  1. Open the Photos app.
  2. Touch your profile icon > Photos settings > Back up & sync.
  3. Turn Back up & sync on or off .

Use location tags

When you take photos or videos, you can embed data about the location where you took them.

  1. Be sure you turned on location-based services in phone Settings.
  2. Tap > SAVE SETTINGS.
  3. Turn Save location on .

Add watermark on photos

  1. Tap > PHOTOS > Watermark.
  2. Choose which elements to add to new photos:

    • For time & date, turn Timestamp on .
    • For a Motorola logo and device info, turn Device watermark on .
    • To identify yourself as the photographer in the watermark, make sure it's on, then type your name in the Signature field.

Watermarks do not appear on:

  • Panoramic photos
  • Photos using Pro mode
  • Still photos taken while recording video.
