Save seconds of video before and after you capture a photo.

1. On the Photo viewfinder, swipe down from the top and select an option:

   turns active photos on for all photos

   saves video only when motion is detected

2. On the viewfinder, touch and select to turn active photos on.
3. Frame your photo, then touch .
4. To view the clip, open the photo in the Camera or Photos app and touch .

Create a splash of motion on a frozen image.

1. On the viewfinder, touch > Cinemagraph.
2. Hold the phone steady.
3. Touch & hold to capture the scene.

4. The camera suggests a portion of the scene to keep in motion or freeze. To change these settings:

   • Touch , then swipe over the part to keep in motion.
   • Touch , then swipe over the part to freeze.
5. To edit the frames used, adjust the sliders.

6. To change the style of loop, touch the style shown:

   • Regular loop repeats the loop from start to end.
   • Bounce loop repeats the loop from start to end, then reverses the action.

7. Touch PREVIEW to view the cinemagraph, then do one of the following:

   • Choose whether to save it as GIF or MP4, then touch SAVE.
   • To reverse your changes, touch CLEAR.
   • To discard without saving, touch .
