Use beauty filter

You can use the beautification filter to apply these effects:

  • Change skin tone
  • Smooth skin texture
  • Enlarge eyes
  • Slenderize face
  1. Tap to turn it on.
  2. If you want to adjust the filter:

    • To adjust the intensity of all effects, tap Smart adjust and move the slider.
    • To change individual effects, tap the effect to change, then select options or move the slider to adjust its intensity.
  3. To capture, press a Volume button. Or, use another capture method.

Tap , then tap Original. You'll see .

Set color style

Before you head out to brunch, explore the city, or relax at the park, turn on Signature Style style for share-ready photos--no need for filters or post-capture editing. Moto AI automatically detects the scene and adjusts color tone, brightness, contrast, saturation, and more, delivering a consistent, professional finish in real time. For even more personal customization, you can teach Moto AI your preferences based on your own photos.

Natural: Get a true to life look that is Pantone validated for accuracy and balance across all scenes.

Signature Style: Use Moto AI to adjust the color tone, temperature, contrast, brightness, saturation, and shadows based on the scene context—no editing needed.

AI Customized: Teach Moto AI your personal color palette preferences for food, portraits, and landscapes using your photos you select. For everything else, the AI adjusts colors using Signature Style style.

  1. Swipe the modes sideways to Photo.
  2. Tap .
  3. Swipe to Natural or Signature Style, then tap Apply.

You can teach Moto AI your preferences for food, portraits, and landscapes. Gather 5 photos of each type (food, portrait, landscape) that demonstrate the visual style you like. If you don't have photos saved to phone storage, download them from the cloud you use.

  1. Swipe the the modes sideways to Photo.
  2. Tap and swipe to Signature Style.
  3. Tap Customize.
  4. Follow onscreen instructions to teach the AI your preferences by importing the training photos from your phone.
  5. Tap Start adjusting to apply settings to your next photo and every one after that.

    For photos other than food, portraits, and landscapes, the AI will adjust colors using Signature Style style.

To change your AI customized color style any time, tap > Customize, and tap existing thumbnails to replace them.

To turn off customization, tap > Customize > Delete Customization.

Take photo with live filter

Apply a Google filter before you capture a photo.

  1. Swipe the modes sideways to Photo.
  2. Tap and select a filter.
  3. Frame your photo, then press a Volume button. Or, use another capture method.

Frame a shot, then step into it

Want the perfect photo of yourself without compromising your creative vision? Use Frame Match to set the scene exactly how you want it, then let a friend handle the shutter. Your final photo keeps the exact composition, lighting, and angle you intended.

  1. Swipe the modes sideways and tap Frame Match.
  2. Frame the background and composition exactly as you want it. Tap shutter icon to save a transparent overlay of that frame.
  3. Give your phone to a friend. Have them move the camera until the live view aligns perfectly with the overlay you just created.

    If needed, use the transparency slider to make the overlay easier to see while matching the shot.

  4. Take your place in the scene. Once you’re positioned, your friend simply taps shutter icon to capture the photo you designed.

Take photo with blurred background

Keep the subject of your photo in focus and blur the surrounding scene as little or much as you like.

  1. Swipe the modes sideways to Portrait.
  2. On the screen, select a format:

    full

    standard

    wide

    close (motorola edge 70 fusion+)

  3. For best results, stay within 1.5 meters (5 feet) of your subject. It's best if there are no objects between you and your subject.
  4. Tap blur icon and drag to increase or decrease blur surrounding the subject.
  5. Press a Volume button. Or, use another capture method.

    on the photo or its thumbnail means you can edit these effects post-capture.

  6. Optionally, edit the photo to increase or decrease blur or remove color from the background.
