VoLTE problems (India)

Does my phone support VoLTE or ViLTE?

Models released in 2018 or later support VoLTE (Jio, Aritle, and Vodafone) and ViLTE (Jio only).

No VoLTE signal (Jio)

If you don't see or in the status bar, try the following steps. After each troubleshooting step, check to see if the issue is fixed.

  1. Check if a software update is available for your phone.
  2. Remove your SIM card and reinsert it as follows:

    1. Open Settings > More > Cellular networks and turn off data connectivity, data roaming, and Enhanced 4G.
    2. Turn the phone off.
    3. Remove the SIM card(s).
    4. Insert the VoLTE SIM in the SIM 1 slot. If you're using a second SIM, insert it in SIM 2 slot.
    5. Turn the phone on.
    6. Open Settings > More > Cellular networks and turn on data connectivity, data roaming, and Enhanced 4G.
  3. Manually set the access point:

    1. Open Settings > More > Cellular networks.
    2. For the VoLTE SIM, touch Access Point Names.
    3. Touch > Reset to default.

    4. Touch .
    5. Set up an access point with these values:

      Name: jionet

      APN: jionet

      APN type: default, supl, or xcap

    6. Turn your phone off and then on again.
  4. Ask your VoLTE carrier to replace the SIM card.

No VoLTE signal (Airtel or Vodafone)

Contact your service provider for access point settings, which are specific to your region.

Have signal, but can't make VoLTE calls (Jio)

Use the Phone app to make the call. Don't use apps downloaded from My JIO to make calls.
