Open apps faster, multitask better

To improve performance, your phone can temporarily turn unused storage into extended RAM (temporary memory where your phone puts data it needs to retrieve quickly) when you need extra speed. The result? You can open apps faster and keep more open at the same time for smoother multitasking.

When RAM boost is on, your phone uses internal storage as extended memory, decreasing storage capacity (for photos, files, apps you install).

To allocate storage space for extended memory:

  1. Go to Settings > System > Performance.
  2. Tap RAM boost.
  3. If needed, turn it on .
  4. Change the size of extended memory if desired.
  5. Restart your phone to apply the new setting.
