Automatically adjust sound

Your phone automatically identifies the type of media you're playing and how you're listening (phone's speaker, headphones, or other connected audio device), and adjusts sound for that experience. You don't have to do anything. Audio effects is always on, unless you turn it off.

Set sound profile for headphones or connected device

You can select a preset sound profile for your headphones or other connected device, and your phone will remember the next time you connect it.

  1. Open quick settings, then touch & hold .

    Or, open the Dolby Atmos app .

  2. Choose how to adjust sound:

    • To automatically adjust based on the media playing, select Auto.
    • To use a preset sound profile, select Music, Movie, or Game.

Add/remove as app or quick setting

To show or hide Moto Audio in your list of apps:

  1. Go to Settings > Sound & vibration > Moto Audio.

  2. Touch more options icon > Show icon in the app tray or Hide icon in app tray.

To add or remove Moto Audio in quick settings:

  1. Open quick settings.
  2. Touch edit icon, then:

    • To add, drag where you want it in the upper panel.
    • To remove, drag from the upper to lower panel.

Turn Audio effects off

To turn Audio effects off for headphones or another connected device:

  1. Connect your headphones or other audio device.
  2. Go to Settings > Sound & vibration > Audio effects.
  3. Turn it off .

To turn it off when you're listening through the loudspeaker:

  1. Go to Settings > Sound & vibration > Audio effects.
  2. Tap more options icon > About.
  3. Tap the image three times to add the on/off switch.
  4. Turn it off .
