Verizon Video Calling

Video Calling lets you make an HD Voice call and switch to a video call. If your contact can accept a video call, you’ll see an enabled camera icon for starting the video call. When you’re connected to Verizon’s 4G LTE network and known Wi-Fi access points, video calls are automatically transferred to Wi-Fi.

To set it up:

  1. Go to Settings > Network & internet > Advanced Calling.
  2. If needed, touch Activate Advanced Calling and follow the onscreen instructions.
  3. Touch Advanced Calling and turn it on .
  4. Touch HD Voice and Video calling.

To make a video call:

  1. Start a call in the Phone app.
  2. If your contact has HD video capability, on the dialer:

    • Touch (two-way video).
    • Touch (one-way video) to send your video while your contact is voice only.
  3. To return to voice only, touch .
  4. To end the call, touch .

Get an app to make video calls

You can also use other apps for video calls.

There are many video calling apps to choose from on Play Store (like WhatsApp, Skype, and more).

  1. Open the Play Store app.
  2. Search for “video calls”.
  3. Download the app you want to use.
