Adjust colors at night

If you selected a color mode, it will resume outside of night hours.

Automatically change screen to amber

Your phone can automatically filter out blue light and adjust screen colors to warmer tones at night, making it easier to view and read in dim light. You might even fall asleep more easily.

  1. Open the Moto app.
  2. Touch Moto Display.
  3. Touch Night Display and turn it on .
  4. Night Display learns your sleep patterns over time and automatically adjusts your screen based on this data. To use times you enter instead, touch Automatic mode and select Manual mode. Then touch the start and end times to adjust them.
  5. To adjust filter intensity, use the slider.

When Night Display is adjusting colors, you'll see in the status bar.

Automatically change screen to grayscale

To help you wind down at night, your phone can change to grayscale (black and white).

  1. Go to Settings > Digital Wellbeing & parental controls > Bedtime mode.
  2. Select when to turn on Bedtime mode.
  3. Touch Customize.
  4. Turn Grayscale on .

Turn it off

To temporarily switch back to regular colors from grayscale, open quick settings and touch .

To stop automatically changing to grayscale at night, go to Settings > Digital Wellbeing & parental controls > Bedtime mode > Customize and turn Grayscale off .

Turn it off

Swipe the status bar down and touch the notification, then switch Night Display off.

To turn it off anytime:

  1. Open the Moto app.
  2. Touch Moto Display.
  3. Touch Night Display and turn it off .

Fix an issue

If colors don't appear as you expect, troubleshoot the issue.
