Share audio with Auracast headphones, hearing aids

You can broadcast your media so friends and family can listen with you. To join, your listeners need Auracast™ (LE Audio) compatible headphones, earbuds, or hearing aids.

While you are broadcasting, you control the master volume and playback directly from your phone. Individual listeners can adjust their own volume on their respective Auracast device.

Broadcast your audio

  1. Go to Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Audio sharing.
  2. Turn Audio sharing on toggle on switch.
  3. If you want to change your broadcast name to something more recognizable to your listeners when they see it, tap Name.
  4. If you want to add a password to your broadcast for privacy, tap Privacy controls.
  1. Ask your listeners to put on their Auracast™ device.
  2. Have listeners open their device's assistant app or Bluetooth settings on their phone to scan for broadcasts.
  3. Tell them to tap your broadcast name and enter the password if you set one.

Join someone's broadcast

If you have Auracast™-compatible headphones, earbuds, or hearing aids, you can connect with another person's phone and listen along with them:

  1. Turn on your Auracast-compatible device and put it on.
  2. Open your device's assistant app and scan for broadcasts. Or, on your phone, go to Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Nearby audio streams.
  3. Select the broadcast name and, if required, enter the password.

You’ll hear the broadcast. You can adjust the volume on your device without affecting the broadcast’s volume for others.
