Connect with Wi‑Fi
Some Wi‑Fi networks are open and you can simply connect your phone to them to browse the internet. Other Wi‑Fi networks have security features that require passwords or digital certificates so only authorized users can connect.
Connect to a network
To search for and connect with available Wi‑Fi networks:
- Go to Settings and touch
. - Turn Wi‑Fi on.
- Touch the Wi‑Fi network you want to connect to.
- If the network is a secure one, enter the password.
.When your phone is connected, 
appears in the status bar.
Reconnect with a network
Your phone automatically connects to a previously-connected Wi-Fi networks when you're in range.
Turn Wi-Fi off
To extend the life of your battery between charges, turn off Wi‑Fi when you're not in a location with access to Wi‑Fi.
Open quick settings and touch & hold the Wi-Fi icon to turn it off.
