Listen to FM stations

Your phone uses wired headphones (any brand) to automatically tune to radio stations with the best signal. Listening to the radio doesn't use your mobile data.

  1. Open the FM Radio app.

  2. Plug headphones into your phone.

    Even when you listen through your phone's speaker, Bluetooth wireless speakers, or wireless headphones, you still need the wired headphones as your antenna.

  3. To find and save all available stations, touch > Search.
  4. Do any of the following:

    • To view all stations and listen to any, touch .
    • To seek stations throughout the radio dial, touch or .
    • To tune to specific frequencies or favorites , drag the line across the tuner.

    • To rescan stations, touch > Search.
    • To change between headphones or speaker, touch or .
    • If you're listening to the radio while using another app, use the notification to stop playback, or go to the previous or next track. Touch for options.
    • To turn the radio off, touch .
TipIf you're having reception issues, try moving your phone as far from the headphones as possible to increase the size of the antenna. Or, try moving a short distance, towards a window if you are inside or away from buildings if you are outside.

Manage your favorites

To add a favorite:

  • Tap .
  • Or, tap and beside the station, tap more options icon > Add to favorites.

You'll see by your favorites on the tuner and in the list.

To remove a favorite:

  1. Tap .
  2. Beside the station, tap more options icon > Remove from favorites.

Record current station

  1. Tap > Start recording.
  2. When done, touch > STOP RECORDING.

To listen to a recording, tap > Saved recordings.

To delete recordings:

  1. Tap > Saved recordings.
  2. Touch & hold a file to select it, then tap any others to select.
  3. Tap Delete.

Set sleep timer for radio

  1. Tap > Sleep Timer.
  2. Move the slider to select when to stop playing.
  3. If you need to silence the radio before the time does, tap > Cancel sleep timer.
