Allow apps to run in background

Performance Optimization boosts the app you’re using by restricting other apps from running in the background, which may cause some notifications to be postponed or not delivered.

To allow apps to run in the background, you can turn on exceptions:

  1. Go to Settings > System > Performance.
  2. Tap Background APP management.
  3. To allow a listed app to run in the background, turn it on toggle on switch.
  4. To allow all listed apps to run in the background, tap more options icon > Turn all on.
NoteIf you notice an app you’ve allowed to run in the background slows the phone down or consumes too much data, turn it off.
