Create highlight reels

About highlight reels

The Gallery app automatically combines your best photos and videos from an event into a highlight reel that you can save, customise and share with friends. You can also manually create highlight reels when you want to combine events and reels, or when you don't have enough photos/videos for Gallery to automatically create one.

Tagging your photos and videos with location tags helps Gallery better organise your photos for highlight reels.

Save and share highlight reels

  1. Touch > Gallery.
  2. Touch > Highlight Reels.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • Create a highlight reel from one date. Touch the event date. If there are enough photos and videos, Gallery automatically creates a highlight reel and plays a preview at the top of the event date folder; touch the preview or to open it. If not, touch to manually create one.
    • Create a highlight reel from multiple dates. Touch & hold the event date folders to select them. Then touch .
  4. Add a title.

  5. Touch More options and do any of the following:

    • To change the movie length, touch .
    • To change which photos and video clips are included, touch .
    • To change audio options (such as song selection, use of video-clip audio, or removing sound), touch .
  6. Touch Save Highlight Reel.
  7. Choose the quality and then touch Save.
  8. To share immediately, touch Share. To share later, in Gallery, touch its thumbnail and touch .

Combine highlight reels

  1. Open the Gallery app.
  2. Touch > Highlight Reels.
  3. Touch and touch each highlight reel to combine into a new one.

Delete a highlight reel

  1. Open the Gallery app.
  2. Find the highlight reel and touch its thumbnail.
  3. Touch .
