Change type of screen lock

To change the type of security required to unlock your phone after it goes to sleep:

1. Go to Settings > Security.

2. Touch Screen lock and select the type of lock you want:

   • None: Turns off screen locks.

   • Swipe: Prevents accidental dialing but doesn't secure the phone. Swipe up. Do not select this if you want to use a trusted Bluetooth device.

   • Pattern: Draw a pattern on a grid.
   • PIN: Enter a four to sixteen digit numeric code.
   • Password: Enter four to sixteen letters, digits, or symbols for the password.

If you're using a PIN, password, or pattern, make life easier by defining a trusted Bluetooth device. Your phone remains unlocked when connected to that device.

TipYou can swipe up from anywhere on the screen when unlocking your screen. You don't need to touch the icon.
