About contacts

The Contacts app gives you quick access to the people you want to reach. When you add accounts to your phone, any contacts from those accounts are added to your phone.

Although you view contact information in the Contacts app, contact profile photos or photos you've assigned to contacts appear throughout your phone (for example, in emails). If a contact has no photo, you'll see an icon before the contact name instead. Touch the photo or icon to see the ways to contact that person - text, email, and phone - and start a message or call from any app.
