Avoid interruptions and set downtime

When you're busy and don't want interruptions, you can manually set your phone to screen incoming calls and messages, based on the type, sender, or defined downtime. Or set it to allow no interruptions at all.

Tips
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Touch Sound & notification > Interruptions.
  3. Touch When calls and notifications arrive and choose one:

    • Always interrupt: All events, reminders, calls, and messages arrive as usual.
    • Allow only priority interruptions: Allow interruptions only from contacts you define here for a set duration. Touch the duration you want, then touch OK. When the duration expires, events, reminders, calls, and messages arrive as usual.
    • Don't interrupt: Prevent delivery of all events, reminders, calls, and messages for a set duration or until you manually change the setting. This silences alarms as well, so don't use this mode during a nap and expect your alarm to wake you.
  4. Under Priority interruptions, select the types of interruptions to allow or prevent.
  5. Touch Calls/messages from and select the people who should be allowed to interrupt you.
  6. Set your Downtime to define when your phone should allow only priority interruptions:

    • Touch Days and mark the checkboxes.
    • Touch Start time and End time to define hours.

When your phone is set to allow only priority interruptions, appears in the status bar.

When your phone is set to not interrupt, appears in the status bar.

To once again allow delivery of all events, reminders, calls, and messages, touch When calls and notifications arrive > Always interrupt.
