Use phone hands-free while driving

When you’re driving, let Assist automatically switch your phone to hands-free mode.

While you stay focused on the road, your phone will:

To set up:

  1. Touch > Moto.
  2. Touch > Assist.
  3. Touch Driving.
  4. Tick Talk to me.

Assist uses your phone's accelerometer and location data to determine if you're driving. If you are a passenger or riding a bus or train, you can view the notification and touch Not now. Your settings resume the next time you drive.

If your phone is connected with a Bluetooth device, Assist allows the Bluetooth device to handle incoming calls. In this case, you can use your Bluetooth device to announce incoming calls if it supports this feature.

Improve sound quality

For the best sound quality of the readout, touch More options and check Improve driving detection by allowing Moto to look for Bluetooth devices.
