Add custom sounds

You can customize your phone with ringtones, notifications, and alarms that are already installed. Or download and create custom sounds to reflect your personal style.

To get custom sounds:

Download ringtones from Play Store.
Use a ringtone maker app from Play Store to create sounds right on your phone.
Drag and drop sounds from a computer using a USB connection.

Sound files must be in MP3 (.mp3) format.

Drag and drop sounds from a computer

On the computer, create or download a sound and save it as .mp3.
Connect the phone to the computer with a USB cable.
On your computer, drag the .mp3 file from the computer to the appropriate folder on the phone: Ringtones, Notifications, or Alarms.

When you open sound settings on your phone, the new sound appears in the list of options.

TipIf the new sound does not appear as an option, restart the phone.
