Connect with Wi-Fi
Some Wi-Fi networks are open and you can simply connect your phone to them to browse the Internet. Other Wi-Fi networks have security features that require passwords or digital certificates so only authorised users can connect.
Connect to a network
To search for and connect with available Wi-Fi networks:
- Go to Settings and touch
. - Turn Wi-Fi on.
- Touch the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.
- If the network is a secure one, enter the password.
When your phone is connected, 
appears in the status bar.
Reconnect to a network
Your phone automatically connects to a previously-connected Wi-Fi network when you're in range.
Turn Wi-Fi off
To extend the life of your battery between charges, turn off Wi‑Fi when you're not in a location with access to Wi‑Fi.
Open quick settings and touch & hold the Wi-Fi icon to turn it off.
