TipIf you're having difficulty with the sound quality of the readout, touch Having audio issues using Bluetooth?  and choose a different audio channel.

Assist uses your device's accelerometer and location data to determine if you’re driving. If you are a passenger or riding a bus or train, you can view the notification and touch I'm not driving. Your settings resume the next time you drive.

If your phone is connected with a Bluetooth device, Assist allows the Bluetooth device to handle incoming calls. In this case, you can use your Bluetooth device to announce incoming calls if it supports this feature.

Reply by voice

When you receive a call or text message, Assist announces its arrival and sender and invites you to hear it read aloud. Follow the audio instructions to listen, and then compose and send a text message reply with only your voice.
