Wirelessly share your screen on HDTV

Show your phone’s screen on HDTV with Wireless Display. Play a slideshow or games, watch movies, browse the web, use your apps — whatever you do on your phone is mirrored on your HDTV. To get started, you need a Miracast™ compatible HDTV or a Miracast wireless display adapter to connect to your HDTV (available at electronics retailers). After an easy setup, your devices communicate directly and do not require a shared Wi-Fi router connection.

TipFor a list of Miracast-compatible wireless dongles that can be used with any TV that has an HDMI port, go to the Wi‑Fi Alliance site at www.wi-fi.org/certified-products-results?cid=miracast.

Pair your devices

To pair your phone with a wireless display adapter or Miracast-compatible HDTV:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • To pair with a wireless display adapter, install the adapter on your HDTV according to the manufacturer's instructions. You'll see a pairing or connection screen on your HDTV.
    • To pair with a Miracast-compatible HDTV, turn it on and set it to pair with a device according to the manufacturer’s instructions. You’ll see a pairing or connection screen on your HDTV.
  2. On your phone, go to Settings > Display > Wireless Display.
  3. Slide the Wireless Display toggle to ON. Your phone searches for display devices.
