NoteAssist does not require a data connection.

Assist uses activity cards you customise with your preferences:

Set up activity cards

When you first open Assist, the activity cards are grey. After you customise them, cards switch to full colour and begin adjusting your phone settings based on your selected card options, driving speed, calendar events and other information approved in the privacy policy.

To customise a card:

  1. Touch > Assist.
  2. Scroll through the app information, touch Next and read the privacy policy, then touch Yes, I'm in.
  3. Touch an activity card.
  4. Use menus and tickboxes to customise the options.
  5. Touch for more information or to finish setup. To customise auto-replies, touch .
TipTo remove an activity or restore it to your list, touch > Settings.

To stop using Assist settings, deselect the options on the activity card (switching the card back to grey).

When cards are active

When an activity card is adjusting your phone settings, you’ll see an “Active” label on the activity card and an icon in the status bar with a notification, such as:

Driving
Meeting
Sleeping
  1. Swipe the status bar down to view the notification.
  2. Optionally:

    • To change settings, touch the activity name to open the card.
    • To temporarily stop using settings for the activity, touch “I’m not…” to indicate you’re not doing the activity. (If you don’t see this option, drag the notification down with two fingers.) Your settings resume the next time you begin the activity.
