Use voice commands

Interact with your device without touching it. Just say the launch phrase and it will be ready for your commands, even when it's asleep on the table or a passenger seat. It learns your voice (after a short training session) so that nobody else can trigger the phone. Tell your phone to navigate to an address, snooze your alarm, play your favourite song, check your voicemail and much more.

  1. Say "OK, Google now."
  2. Say "Help me."

Avoid unlocking your screen

If you pair your phone with a trusted Bluetooth device, you can use Touchless Control to make or receive calls and access voicemail without having to unlock your screen (other voice commands may require unlocking your screen).

  1. Go to Settings > Touchless Control.
  2. Touch Commands when locked and check Calls.

To set up a trusted device:

  1. Pair phone with your Bluetooth devices.
  2. Go to Settings > Security.
  3. Set screen lock to a type other than Slide or None.
  4. Touch Trusted devices.
  5. Select which Bluetooth devices will keep your phone unlocked.

Use voice commands from the Google Search widget

You can use the same voice commands from the Google Search widget.

  1. Instead of saying "OK, Google now" just touch on the Google Search widget.
  2. Say your command.
