To transfer music, photos, and other files between your phone and computer (in either direction):

1. Connect your phone and computer with a USB cable.

   appears in the status bar when the two are connected.

2. Swipe the status bar down and confirm that the phone is connected as a media device. If not, touch the USB notification and change the connection.

3. On your computer:

   • For Windows, use Windows Explorer to drag and drop your content to and from your phone. If you are using USB tethering to provide internet access to your computer through your phone, you must turn that off before you can use USB to copy files.
   • For a Mac, download the Android file transfer application from www.android.com/filetransfer.
