Icon glossary

The status bar at the top of the screen contains icons that help you monitor the status of your phone. Here's what the icons mean.

Connected to cellular/mobile network (full signal). Speed of your network connection is also shown. Possible speeds, from slowest to fastest, are 1X, 2G, 3G, H, H+, 4G. Available speeds depend on your carrier and your location.
Connected to different cellular/mobile network (roaming).
No connection to cellular/mobile network.
Emergency calls only.
Wi-Fi network within range.
Connected to Wi-Fi network.
Your phone is a Wi-Fi hotspot. Devices can connect to share your data connection.
Bluetooth on.
Bluetooth device connected.
Wireless display or adaptor connected.
Airplane mode on.
Connected by USB cable.
App updates are available for download or an app was successfully installed from Google Play™.
Active call.
Missed call.
Vibrate.
Ringtones off.
Battery charging.
Battery fully charged.
Assist app is adjusting phone settings based on selections on the Driving activity card.
Assist app is adjusting phone settings based on selections on the Meeting activity card.
Assist app is adjusting phone settings based on selections on the Sleeping activity card.
Email download and calendar sync in progress.
Song playing.
Upcoming calendar event.
