Get phone notifications and messages on your computer
Sometimes it's more convenient to receive messages on your computer, such as during a meeting, when your phone is charging in another room, when your phone is in your bag or you've accidentally left it at home. The Motorola Connect Chrome extension lets you send and receive text messages, reply to phone calls with texts and see incoming and missed call notifications — all from your computer. To use this feature, you need the Chrome browser and a computer that supports Chrome browser extensions.
NoteFor incoming MMS messages, such as picture messages or group messages, you will receive pop-up notifications on your computer to
let you know MMS messages are available to view on your phone. They cannot currently be viewed on your computer.
Install Motorola Connect Chrome extension
- On your phone, drag the status bar down with two fingers and touch
Settings. - Touch Active Notifications > Motorola Connect.
- If you have not yet set up a Motorola device ID, you will be prompted to set one up. Touch Yes, I'm in.
- Follow the instructions on your screen. Once you touch the agreement to use Motorola Connect, Motorola sends an email with simple instructions for installing the Chrome browser extension (and the Chrome browser, in case you need to install it, too) on your computer.
- Using your computer, open the email and follow the instructions to download and install the products onto your computer.
