Add a Power control widget to your Home screen so you can quickly adjust many of the settings that affect battery usage to maximise the time between charges.

1. Touch > WIDGETS tab.
2. Touch & hold Power control and drag it to the Home screen.

Touch the icons to turn connections on/off:

Toggles include (from left) Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, sync and screen brightness.
