To change the type of security required to unlock your phone after it goes to sleep:

1. Drag the status bar down and touch   Settings > Security & screen lock.

2. Touch Screen lock and select the type of lock you want:

   • None: Turns off screen locks.
   • Slide: Prevents accidental dialling but doesn't secure the phone. Touch and drag to .
   • Face unlock: Use facial recognition. If your phone doesn't recognise your face, you can enter your backup pattern or PIN.
   • Pattern: Draw a pattern on a grid. If you enter the wrong pattern five times, you can enter your Google account email and password to unlock the phone.
   • PIN: Enter a four to sixteen digit numeric code.
   • Password: Enter four to sixteen letters, digits, or symbols.
