Adjust volume
Your phone has independent settings for these volumes:
- Ringtones
- Notifications
- Media (music, video, games)
- Alarm
- Call
Adjusting one volume will not affect the others, so you can crank up the tunes without making incoming callers sound like they’re shouting.
Tips
- To switch to silent or vibrate mode, press and hold the Power button, then touch
or 
. - To silence your ringing phone and stop its vibration, press the Power or Volume Down button.
- Use the Assist app to automatically adjust volume settings.
Use the volume keys on the side of your phone:
- To adjust call volume while on a call
- To adjust media volume while playing a song, video, or game
- To adjust ringtone volume when you are not on a call or playing media
You can also use phone settings to adjust volumes:
- Go to Settings.
- Touch Sound > Volumes.
- Touch and drag to adjust each volume setting as needed.
