Manage phone storage

View available storage

  1. Go to Settings > Storage.
  2. Look at Device storage to see how much space has been used.

Free up space

  1. Go to Settings > Storage.
  2. Touch Internal shared storage.

  3. Do any of the following:

    • Clear the cache for apps. Touch Cached data to clear it for all apps. Or, touch Apps, select an app, and touch Clear cache.
    • Delete apps you installed and don’t need.
    • Thin out your videos and photos. Touch Videos or Images > Camera and delete ones you don't need.
    • Move your photos and videos to your SD card or to cloud storage. Then delete them from your phone.
    • Move items to Drive. Touch Other > Explore. Touch & hold to select one or more folders or items. Then touch > Copy to... > Drive.
