Find what you need on the web or on your phone.
To type your search term:
Touch the Search widget.

As you type, suggested terms appear below the text box.
Use voice commands to search without touching your phone.
There’s no need to leave your current app to search for the info or app you need next. Google Assistant uses what’s on your screen to show you related info and to suggest next steps. For example, when composing a text to invite a friend to a particular restaurant, see an info card about the restaurant (hours, ratings, distance away) and actions (open apps to navigate there or to view the menu).
Search history must be turned on to use this feature.
To search from anywhere, touch & hold

To get information about something on your screen:
Touch & hold
. Then touch What's on my screen?. Try it when you're adding a new contact, or listening to a song, or reading an article.
You'll see cards overlaying the current app.
